This is a great example of how academic groups build lasting connections beyond research papers and coursework. Recognizing graduates and organizing group activities creates a stronger sense of belonging within the lab. That same spirit of friendly competition and collaboration can also be found in basketball bros, a basketball game that emphasizes quick decisions and teamwork in an entertaining way.

The welcoming and farewell events described here reflect a healthy and supportive research culture. Celebrating achievements while helping new members feel included can make a significant difference in long-term success. Team-oriented environments often share similarities with sports, which is one reason casual games like baseball bros are enjoyable—they capture the fun and teamwork that help bring people together.

It’s always encouraging to see research groups documenting their milestones and community events. Posts like this preserve important memories while showcasing the human side of academic work. As technology continues to evolve, creative tools such as nanomaker are also helping researchers, students, and creators quickly generate AI-powered images and videos for presentations, projects, and communication.
