Exciting week at the frontiers of robotics! Our team just returned from RSS 2026 in Sydney, where we participated with one formal paper presentation and several workshop presentations. Regarding the paper presentation, Harim Ji presented “TE-SDF: Tetra-Encoded Signed Distance Field for Memory-Efficient and Accurate Collision Detection” (Online, YouTube).
It’s exciting to see robotics research pushing toward more efficient and accurate solutions. The work on memory-efficient collision detection sounds especially valuable for practical robotic systems, where both computational resources and precision matter. It also reminds me of SoFlo Wheelie Life, a motorcycle wheelie simulation game where precise control and efficient handling are essential when navigating challenging situations.
